i opted to just not use the hard case. the first was to cleanse the back of the device and my wrist with an alcohol cloth. in my case, i also felt a tingling sensation all the way up my arm and across my chest. it was either due to the lotion i put on in the morning or that i was standing up with the device. a couple of hours into my sleep, i did lose the watch. this caused the watch to get hung up on my pillow and detach. this caused the sensor to not pick up the snoring, so it did not go off.
